  • Two-wire Loop Powered LED Indicator with Intrinsically safe approval

    Model 6DV is a 4-digit, 8-mm-high (.3”), 7-segment red LED display, which is powered from a two-wire current loop (4 to 20 mA), requiring no extra power source. The maximum voltage drop caused by inserting the 6DV into the loop is 4.0 V at 20 mA.

    · The display range is programmable from -1999 to 9999 and the decimal point is also selectable (10–1, 10–2, 10–3 or without decimals).

    · Programmable functions include input signal calibration, offset setting and linearization (SQRT, RT32 and RT52, and 21-point user’s table).

    · In combination with Model 27HU, it provides the user with a low-cost, field-mounted HART Temperature Transmitter with LED Display.

    · Compact housing: External dimensions of 70mm-dia. (2.76”) and 21mm-high (.83”) (See below Figure 1).

    Using the A-34 DIN Rail Adaptor or the A-6 Spacer, various mounting styles are available.

  • Intrinsically safe approvals are available from ATEX Directive (Europe) and FM (US, Canada). Differences between the 6DV and the 6DVI exist only in safety parameters (See Table 1).

    A safety barrier with matching safety parameters to the 6DV or 6DVI must be installed for complete intrinsic safety. The safety barrier should meet the Ex-data of this unit and must be approved for hazardous location.

  • Model 6DV and 6DVI are approved to applicable standard of IEC60079 category: ia, and can be installed into hazardous areas Zone 0 (Europe) and Division 1 (US, Canada). They are covered for use in a potentially explosive atmosphere of the gas group (explosion group) including Hydrogen and Acetylene (See Table 2).

    The 6DV and 6DVI Series also include an optional outdoor enclosure, Model 6DV-B and 6DVI-B, which are able to be field-mounted.
