The R7 Series is a new addition to M-System’s varieties of remote I/O series R1, R3 and R5. The compact module has the power supply, network and I/O sections all in one piece, ideal for applications in which small number of I/O signals are scattered around remote locations.

The CC-Link (R7C), Modbus (R7M) and DeviceNet (R7D) I/O modules are available.

COMPACT & FLEXIBLE
The basic module size is: W115, H50 and D54 mm (4.5 x 2 x 2.1 inch), just a palm-top size. A discrete I/O extension module can be joined to the side of the basic module. This allows a station (node) with mixed analog and discrete signals, such as thermocouple inputs plus transistor outputs, or analog outputs plus transistor outputs.

SEPARABLE TERMINAL BLOCK
The terminal blocks for the network, power supply and I/O on the basic module can be separated in two pieces.

The R7C CC-Link Remote I/O requires only the station number and baud rate setting with the rotary switches on the front panel to connect to the PLC, without needing any additional setting at the PLC side. (Figure 1)
In addition, input sensor types or ranges are also selected with the DIP switches on the front. No PC Configurator Software is needed if all channels in the module have the same setting.

PC CONFIGURATOR
In order to choose different thermocouples within one module, you can use the PC Configurator Software.

WIDE INPUT RANGE
The DC voltage/current input module is usable for 8 types of voltage range and 3 types of current range, which can be selected with the DIP switches. Only minimal number of spare units are needed.
